Beginning with the comic book boom (1938) and lasting through WWII- superheroes have served as a comfort to society and images of perfection. Through time, however, these heroes have grown into a new breed. Rather than being superhuman, they are now super and human. These "heroes" make mistakes, struggle between good and evil, and have common human flaws. My question is why does our society want to see such flawed characters as heroes?

First! what a great way to conduct an interview via facebook chat. I like the difference of what you did with this. It is interesting to see various opinions and views about the guests you interviewed!
